The UJ DFC Civil Engineering Forum hosts company presentations on a regular basis to bridge the gap between varsity & industry.

Department Braai

 

The Civil Engineering Technology Department together with the UJ DFC CEF is hosting a end of term Braai on the 29th of August 2014. 

 

Civil Technology Students and staff are invited to come celebrate the end of a successful term and the beginning of Spring.

The UJ DFC Civil Engineering Forum is currently building a student database of CV's. Should any companies require interns, please contact Tsepo Tshiwilowilo for access to the pool of CV's.

Egg Protection Device Competition
 
The S4 class of 2014 has entered the 2014 Concrete Society of South Africa Egg Protection Device competition. The competition date is 22 August at PPC Jupiter Works. Buses will leave around 12h00.

The Announcement for the team who won the UJ DFC Civil Engineering Forum competition for a small sponsorship will be made on Wednesday. 

 

Prizes include:

 

- CEF and Team logo branded Tshirts

- Food and Drinks on the day

- Feature article in the Civilian Newsletter

 

 

UJ DFC Civil Engineering Forum Tshirt

 

The UJ DFC Civil Engineering Forum has made available a T-Shirt for all interested Civil Engineering Students. The T-Shirt sports the UJ Logo on the left and the Civil Engineering Forum logo on the right. It is made of 50% cotton and comes in Black, White or Pink.

Girls in Hardhats 

 

August is a month where we celebrate women. Tall women, short women, business women and home builders and ofcourse, Women in Civil Engineering. In our Newsletter this month we feature two students in Civil Engineering ... our very own Hardhat girls!
